She has a steadfast belief that her job as a teacher is to help her students be prepared for anything in life. As a 21st century educator, she believes the teacher’s role is to guide learners to think critically and creatively. Her passion for teaching Chinese as an international language stems from offering students the chance to open their minds to new cultures and backgrounds. Having had the opportunity to work with students from various cultural backgrounds and different international curricula, she wishes to instill a truly international mindset in her students.
Julie is an outgoing person who enjoys traveling, food, jokes, poster designing and dragon boating! She has also been an active volunteer for associations taking care of stray dogs in Singapore.
