Grade 3’s excursion to Marina Bay Sands, Helix Bridge and the Museum of Art and Science

Our Grade 3 students went on an excursion to Marina Bay Sands, Helix Bridge and the Museum of Art and Science. This was a WOW provocation for their new inquiry ‘How The World Works’. The students committed themselves to observing these structures and questioning the architecture, the new design and the innovation in the construction of the facilities. They made notes about both the shape of the buildings and shapes within, size, colours, materials and other eye-catching details. They had the opportunity to sketch the structures too. It was an exciting day of outdoor learning for them!
