In Early Childhood (EC1 and EC2) and Primary classes (Preparatory to Grade 5), the class teacher is responsible for all learning and pastoral care.

Teaching takes place on an individual level, in groups and as a whole class. Specialist teachers further enrich the programme with all students learning Mandarin on a daily basis, Music and Physical Education twice week and Dance or Swimming throughout the year.

From Grade 6, a Form Teacher overseas the pastoral care of all students at each grade with students attending different specialist lessons for English and Drama, Maths, Science and Technology, PE, Mandarin, the Humanities, Art, Music, Dance, PE, Citizenship and Personal, Social Education.

Information technology is taught and used as a tool for learning throughout the curriculum.

Our committed and enthusiastic team of teachers provide a positive learning environment. Building student confidence and ensuring success are key goals. Every individual student’s achievements are shared with parents and other students at assemblies or end of unit inquiry celebrations.

Our students come from all over the world and start school with a wide range of abilities and learning experiences.

With small class sizes teachers quickly learn the strengths of each individual student. By using a range of teaching and grouping strategies they can then differentiate the programme according to ability.

Learning does not just take place in the classroom. The curriculum programme is enriched through not only use of the school grounds, but with each grade making at least three educational trips each year to some of the many wonderful places in Singapore.

Camping over night at school and residential camps at such places as Kota Tingi Rainforest Camp provide the opportunity for adventurous activities and learning of some of those lifelong skills such as making a bed and cooking!
