One World International School (OWIS) is an IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) World School and a Cambridge International School (CIE). Situated in the city of Singapore, the school has an enrolment of about 160 students (3 year old – 15 year old) taught by experienced teachers. The school is renowned for its individual approach to students and this is evident in the classrooms as well as in extracurricular activities and events.

We are now looking to fill the following position:

PYP Class Teacher

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for classes of students from 3 to 15 years old
  • Develop lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives
  • Present lessons that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within the class
  • Provide feedback to parents on students’ progress
  • Running of after school activities
  • Organise and take part in school events which may take place outside of school hours

Requirements

  • A relevant degree
  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Relevant teaching experience
  • ICT literacy
  • An excellent level of spoken and written English

Mandarin Teacher

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for teaching Mandarin to students from 6-16 years old
  • Prepare lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives
  • Present Mandarin lessons that will engage, stimulate and cater to the needs of the whole ability range of students within the class
  • Assess and record students’ development
  • Provide feedback to parents on student’s progress at parent-teacher meetings
  • Running of after school activities as required by the Head of School
  • Organising and taking part in school events which may take place at weekends or in the evenings

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree
  • Teaching qualification
  • Experience in teaching learners with diverse needs
  • Familiar with the PYP and IGCSE curriculum

Supply Teacher

Responsibilities:

  • Take on classroom duties in the absence of the main classroom or subject specialist teacher
  • Any other duties of the main teacher

Requirements:

  • Recognised degree in education or related field
  • Teaching experience preferred
  • Must be comfortable with different age ranges of students
